Friday Prayer: Praises To God

March 17, 2017 6:43 AM by Dan

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
 Praise the Lord with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

 For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
 He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap;[a]
He lays up the deep in storehouses.

 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
 For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.

 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
 The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.   Psalm 133:1-12

We praise You this morning Lord with our whole heart, mind and strength. Give us a new song to sing, a new vision for our ministry, new air to breathe, supplied by your Holy Spirit. Strengthen us to face the challenges. Let us focus on You to enjoy each day in Your presence.

Friday Prayer: I Am With You

February 17, 2017 5:52 AM by Dan

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”                                                                                                                                  Matt. 28:18-20

Lord, this morning I pray for faith for myself and believers throughout the area to live our lives in Your promises. Help us, first and foremost to know that You are with us individually. That You will never leave us nor forsake us regardless of what we are going through. We pray that You will put each of us on a firm foundation of faith in You. Help us to rely on Your Truth, Your Word, Your Work, Your love for mankind. Help us to give up our own control, living on our own ability, and help us to understand how to rely on You. Thank you for Your revelation.

Friday Prayer: Gates of Glory

February 10, 2017 6:03 AM by Dan

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
    and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
    who does not trust in an idol
    or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the Lord
    and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
    who seek your face, God of Jacob.               Psalm 24:1-6

Lord we want to come to a place in our lives where we are ascending Your Holy mountain our hands open without doubt, without fear, without hypocrisy. Give us clean hands and a pure heart. Keep us away from the idolatry of wealth, position, power and fame. Let us be doers of Your Word and not simply hearers. Help us to examine our hearts and motives and release anything that we hold onto as more important than our relationship to you. Give us wisdom in this. Your wisdom. Mature us beyond the beginning of wisdom which is to rightly fear You. Help us in our relationship, our everyday walk with You. Help us to hear Your voice and do what You say.

Friday Prayer: Trust In God

January 27, 2017 5:49 AM by Dan

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5-6

We bow before You today Lord, knowing that our lives are in Your hands, the hands of the maker of heaven and earth. Help us to hear Your voice throughout our day, not getting caught up in our own accomplishments, but seeing that You have placed us here to do a good work based on Your Word and truth. Let Your church be students of the Bible with the goal of letting it influence their lives and not merely to understand it. Help Christians throughout the Willamette Valley... pray, care, give, share, walk humbly and faithfully living out these truths.

Friday Prayer: Thankful for Each Other

January 20, 2017 6:01 AM by Dan

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. Col. 1:3-6

Dear Lord, sometimes we take our brothers and sisters for granted. Help us to be like Paul who prayed regularly for those near to him involved in the work of sharing the gospel as well as for those who were new to the faith. Thank you for those in our churches who are doing the work of the gospel. Help us to help them. Help us to work together as a team using our gifts in perfect unison with theirs. Let us be humble and gentle and patient with those we work with. Bless them Lord for their faithfulness to You.

Friday Prayer: Calm

January 13, 2017 6:01 AM by Dan

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matt. 8:23-26

Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you that you are Lord over all things. You bring peace to even life threatening situations that look completely out of control. Help us to trust in You, to have faith, to give up our own small understanding for the wonder of what Your truth and Your word instructs us. Help us to be calm and to rest in You. Lord, we pray for the many pastors and church leaders in the Willamette Valley today. Give them calm, peace and rest as they face the world and its storms. Strengthen their trust in You and give them vision and direction for the years ahead.

Friday Prayer: Make a Run for God

January 5, 2017 10:08 PM by Dan

So, rebel-kings, use your heads;
Upstart-judges, learn your lesson:
Worship God in adoring embrace,
Celebrate in trembling awe. Kiss Messiah!
Your very lives are in danger, you know;
His anger is about to explode,
But if you make a run for God—you won’t regret it!

                                                             Psalm 2:10-12 (The Message)

We ask for Your guidance today dear Lord. We want the path clear and understanding to come to us like never before. Let us run toward You and the understanding of Your giving us life and breath. Let us be willing to be used by You, not simply appreciate You, but worship and praise You all the day long. Give us a clean heart and true direction to run to You.

Friday Prayer: Life From His Life

December 8, 2016 10:22 PM by Dan

This is how we know we’re living steadily and deeply in him, and he in us: He’s given us life from his life, from his very own Spirit. Also, we’ve seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. We know it so well, we’ve embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God.

                                                                1 John 4:13-16  Message

Thank You Lord for Your love for us. You give us life from Your Life. You are with us all the day long. Help us to live this reality with You. Help us to rely on You, listen to You, walk with You and pray to You all the day long. Forgive us when we fail You, when we turn our back. Let us be honest and confess our sins to You. Help us to be wise and altogether stay away from sin. Let us live a sincere Christian life putting You first.  We pray for the family of Christ in the Willamette Valley that we would live more and more for You.

Friday Prayer: Rejected to Accepted

December 1, 2016 9:55 PM by Dan

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

                                                                                  1 Peter 2:9-10

Thank you Lord for developing in us Your love and kindness. Help us through that love to be those who can attract many to You. Keep us mindful that You are with us, teaching, instructing and using us to be light. We pray for evangelism in our city and state. Use Your church Lord.

Friday Prayer: In Need or Joy

November 25, 2016 6:21 AM by Dan

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.                                                                                                                 James 5:13-15

Lord, thank you for inspiring James to write that all the saints should come before you in prayer regardless or whether they are in good times or bad. You want us to pray regardless of what we are going through. Help steady our hearts when things are not well. Help us to praise and worship you when we can.  Please quiet our minds to focus on You the whole day long, bringing what we see and experience into a time shared with You. Thank you for hearing our prayers. Let Your perfect will be done.
