Friday Prayer: Rejected to Accepted

December 1, 2016 9:55 PM by Dan

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

                                                                                  1 Peter 2:9-10

Thank you Lord for developing in us Your love and kindness. Help us through that love to be those who can attract many to You. Keep us mindful that You are with us, teaching, instructing and using us to be light. We pray for evangelism in our city and state. Use Your church Lord.

Friday Prayer: In Need or Joy

November 25, 2016 6:21 AM by Dan

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.                                                                                                                 James 5:13-15

Lord, thank you for inspiring James to write that all the saints should come before you in prayer regardless or whether they are in good times or bad. You want us to pray regardless of what we are going through. Help steady our hearts when things are not well. Help us to praise and worship you when we can.  Please quiet our minds to focus on You the whole day long, bringing what we see and experience into a time shared with You. Thank you for hearing our prayers. Let Your perfect will be done.

Friday Prayer: Trusting God

November 18, 2016 5:54 AM by Dan

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.                                                                                         Hebrews 12:28-29 (NASB)

Lord Jesus, teach us to climb up the mountain before us with our hands wide open in praise, worship and adoration. Help those who call on Your name here in the Willamette Valley put their trust in You. Help us not to fear the future or be ashamed of our past. Let us understand that You paid our debt in Your perfect sacrifice. We pray for strength for those who are suffering loss and grief and troubling times.

November 4, 2016 6:00 AM by Dan

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

Hebrews 3:1

Dear Lord, we pray that you would help us with reminders of You today. Keep up mindful of You all the day long. Help us to experience Your presence as the morning dawns and as the evening fades and all the time in-between. Thank You for Your willingness to dwell with us. Thank You for Your provision of peace and understanding.

Friday: The Word

October 27, 2016 9:52 PM by Dan

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.

                                                                                                                                                                       2 Timothy 3:16-17 (The Message)

Lord, we thank you for Your Word. The Living Word. The breathe of life to us. Please help us to understand it better. Let us realize all the benefit and value Your love story has in our life. Let us take it in from Genesis to Revelation. Give us a heart to know You more. To want to be like You more. Perfect us dear Lord through knowing Your Word.

Friday Prayer: Pray!

October 20, 2016 9:20 PM by Dan

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.  1 Timothy 2:1-4

Teach us once again about prayer Dear Jesus. Repeat Your Word to us. Let us hear You instruct us on how to pray to the Father. To glorify and worship Him. To ask for Your physical return, to ask for Your work to be done here. Teach us to humbly ask for needs and food for our heart, mind and soul. Help us examine our heart and ask for forgiveness of our sins. Teach us again to pray.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1.

Dear God, In our culture this verse can seem unreasonable. Being a living sacrifice means giving of ourselves, wanting what You want, and being obedient to Your leading and Word each day of our lives. This seems a little over the top, maybe even radical. What about what we want and the plans we have for our lives? Forgive us Lord for our selfish and rebellious ways. When we look at You and see all you gave for us, how can we do anything other than live for you each and every day. You gave Your life for us while we were yet sinners and gave us the gift of forgiveness and abundant life forever. Help us daily to put down our will and bend to Yours. We can trust that You always want what is best for us. Amen.

Friday Prayer: Let Your Request Be Made Known

October 6, 2016 9:32 PM by Dan

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

                                                                             Phil. 4:6-7

Lord we pray today thankful in knowing You love us and want a closer relationship with us.  We pray for Your peace in the confusing times of our lives. We pray our families would live for You with their whole heart, mind and strength. Awaken the church in the Willamette Valley. Stir us and strengthen us. Protect us from the evil, lead us away from any darkness in our lives. Bring us to a place of complete trust in You. Help us to walk with You.

Friday Prayer: Work of Your Hand

September 29, 2016 10:05 PM by Dan

But now, O LordYou are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord,
Nor remember iniquity forever;
Behold, look now, all of us are Your people.

                                                         Isaiah 64:8-9 (NASB)

We ask today that You would work in the Church in the Mid-Willamette Valley. Please shape and mold the ministries in such a way that they can see You. Let ministers of the Word in this valley be drawn into a closer relationship with You. Let them hear Your voice through the Word. Let them see Your love move throughout this valley through the miraculous circumstances You bring. Help us as believers to work together and pray together. Shape us and mold us dear Lord.

Friday Prayer: Redeemed By Christ

September 22, 2016 8:48 PM by Dan

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.   Colossians 1:13-14

We praise You today dear Lord Jesus for our rescue. You have brought us out of the darkness of despair of no hope in ourselves, to endless hope within You.  We invite You to make Your presence within us more discernible and more understandable. Give the church in the Willamette Valley inspiration and power through Your Mighty Peace and Presence. Thank you Lord.
